I haven't read Scared Games but whatever you've said about it--the richness, the way it mirrors life--would hold for A Fine Balance too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9082470.post-1157028430780616442006-08-31T18:17:00.000+05:302006-08-31T18:17:00.000+05:30Hum dollars ki baat kar rahe hain ya ruppayon ki?E...Hum dollars ki baat kar rahe hain ya ruppayon ki?

Either way, it is there for you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9082470.post-1157022183094367892006-08-31T16:33:00.000+05:302006-08-31T16:33:00.000+05:30Arre Amitavaji, you can justly claim some of the c...Arre Amitavaji, you can justly claim some of the credit for my piece, as it was in your stimulating company, thirstily quaffing the alcohol you had bought me, that I thought of some of the words and phrases that found their way here. Come by again soon to our congested little city-on-the-sea; failing this, do you think you could loan me a couple of thousand? I'll pay you back soon as certain Indian periodicals pay me.Chandrahashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07483080477755487202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9082470.post-1156860622948506272006-08-29T19:40:00.000+05:302006-08-29T19:40:00.000+05:30Arre Shri Chandrahas Choudhury, your review shines...Arre Shri Chandrahas Choudhury, your review shines, by which I mean, there are flares. It glows brightest when compared to the other review that apparently appeared in the same paper. It has been written by a character called Stephen Thompson. I confess I didn't proceed--I couldn't--beyond the first few paragraphs. He doesn't know the difference between Indian authors but I liked what you said about what distinguishes Sacred Games from Maximum City, a comparison that will be made, alas, more out of malice than a genuine consideration of form and the authors' goals.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
